Would you consider returning?

"Femi management of school nursing called to see if there is a nurse who lives in Imanuel who can be the local nurse here. Would you consider returning?" - Secretary of health clinic in Imanuel.

I did not know whether to laugh or to cry.

I sent a letter regarding the importance of building trust, cultural congruence, and paternalism to a doctorate level nurse in Israel, here is her response:

" I am sorry to hear this story. I suggest you report it to Dr. ... at the ministry of health. Good luck "

To refer this story to the ministry of health seems a bit thorny, does this department not know how school nurses are being managed? Is it not their job to know?

Or would I be preparing her before the story leaks to an investigative journalist so she can think of how to defend the ministry of health's position?
