The school Health Declaration and vaccine consent - an inadequate and trust-breaking system

We need wide vaccine availability in Israel. Vaccines should not be compartmentalized under various private businesses.
Evidence-Based Practice would beg the following question: how many times have parents signed the school health declaration, say in September of the school year, but when it actually comes to vaccine day, say in March, changed their mind and refuse some or all vaccines?
Plenty.
So school nurses should assess parents' wishes, right?
Seems obvious.
But the business model is taking over and demanding high volume and low patient contact, as is happening to #SchoolNursing in #Israel.
So, two weeks before vaccine day, a notice is sent to parents, vaccines are ordered. The parents got the notice, if they do not respond, and had signed the health declaration ( months ago), case is closed.
The health declaration includes a description of vaccines, but the title is misleading - it only says "health declaration" and not "health and consent to vaccines declaration", and I am not sure that would help.
If anyone would ask the school nurse, "how is this policy of using the health declaration as sufficient consent working in practice?"
The #school nurse would respond that it DOES NOT WORK.
Parents expect to declare their final consent close to vaccine day. No matter how many emails and parent teacher conferences in which the school nurse warns the parents that this is policy, it is falling on deaf ears.
The caring #schoolnurse who tries to build trust is swimming against the tide, her faint efforts cannot stop the growing massive distrust in the #healthcare system.
Wars abound in #Israel. Israelis are distressed.
But they need to find the energy to ask, "what is happening to our social services?"
Nurses are paid pennies. Free them up to serve as they should. Those extra pennies would go a long way to build trust, stem conspiracy theories, and prevent outbreaks of contagious disease.
You wait for the truth to emerge, it will not unless you make it happen.
